Influenza
Influenza (flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by the influenza virus. It can cause mild to severe illness. Serious outcomes of flu infection can result in hospitalization or death. Some people, such as older people, young children, and people with certain health conditions, are at high risk of serious flu complications. The CDC states the best way to prevent flu, is getting a yearly "flu" vaccine. Visit the CDC website for more information.
Illness Policy
The Lisbon Schools has an illness policy stating students MUST BE fever, vomiting and diarrhea free for 24 hours before returning to school. They must be fever free without the use of fever reducing medication like ibuprofen or acetaminophen (Tylenol). This policy helps students who are ill to not come to school and potentially infect other students.

Food Assistance
During this uncertain time, we want to make sure you have food to feed your family. Currently, 1 in 7 children struggle with hunger. The Southeast Linn Community Center (SELCC) is in our community to help in times like this. Currently, there are no income guidelines required to receive food assistance. The SELCC is available by phone and appointment. The income guidelines to receive food from the Food Pantry have been lifted at this time.
